Only tracking 'n whip-pans catch 'em flying by!...
What with the 41st running of the worlds largest ‘timed’ cycling event held here in Cape Town; the "Cape Argus Cycle Tour" - I decided to capture the romantic and colourful side of the event. Knowing there are hundreds of photographers, not to mention all the photojournalist covering the 109 km course, I had to come up with a different ’treatment’ – I decided to depict speed… motion the eye can't perceive though we 'feel' the swiftness as riders fly by!

Technical Hint::
In every image depicted there is an element that has not only "fallen" withing the preset-focus area, it is also 'readable' and has been purposefully 'followed' at the speed of my "whip-pan" to render it sharp...
