Photographing toddlers, kids-at-play or, what children get up to at birthday parties, adult socials, weddings, family fun stuff, all those special M O M E N T S are well worth capturing...

A 'portrait' is the representation of a person, in which the face is often predominant but, not necessarily the rule. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and mood of the person. For this reason, a portrait is not an informal snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows the person looking directly at the camera or, intently gazing out-of-frame to engage the ‘subject’ with you the viewer. As photographic techniques developed, photographers took their talents out of the studio and onto battlefields, across oceans, industrial sites or remote wilderness to evoke intrigue…
