ABOUT
Muted colours are harmonious but, insipid colours are not! The success of landscape photography starts and ends with optics! Know precisely the lenses YOU want to shoot with –not those dictated by so-called 'experts'. Don't allow landscapes (& seascapes) to influence your creative approach, nor be seduced by sunrise 'n sets –break all composition rules you feel necessary; pull focus to the not-so-obvious detail, taunt your viewers and make them 'see' what you see –flaunt depth, depth & more depth! Remember, sunlight ambience need not be dramatic for making great pictures; subtleness and the cunning of colour often 'wins' the day.
(I fear Ansel Adams may be turning in his grave, my apologies, Sir...)
