ABOUT

The Artist in B&W
“My First Love” – KODAK Tri-X 400 B&W Film is a classic high-speed panchromatic film designed for a wide array of shooting conditions. It’s known for its classic grain structure that hasn’t changed since 1954. Tri-X is the ultimate travel partner…

I have a good reason for shooting on B&W film; see my Project titled;
“Why shoot FILM in a digital era…”

Technical Details:
[B&W Silver-Gelatin limited-edition fine-art handrints]
* Pertinent details are pencilled on the reverse of each handprint.
* Limited editions are autographed and numbered from, 1–5.
* Each Silver-Gelatin handprint displays my unique emboss mark.
* Framing is not undertaken nor, are 'courier costs' included in the price of an original handprint.

I utilise the "ProPhoto AirS Lighting System" to achieve desired 'working-apertures' and as 'fill-light' in shadow details. I often apply B&W Filters for contrasting enhancements, primarily skies. Prime Lenses are a must for all my B&W photography, whether shooting on location or, portraiture.

My B&W collections are exhibited in Italy, and locally here in Cape Town, RSA…
