We were commissioned to provide signage for visitors to Santiago Cemetery. At the Oxigeno Group we enjoy a challenge and love to innovate when working, so we decided to go beyond simple visual signposts and decided to create a system to locate the graves of loved ones buried at the cemetery.
Solution: We created a communication system based on a code for each grave that is explained at the entrance. Using this code the visitor can easily locate the required grave within the sectors and zones.
The system is efficient, functional, lasting and environmentally friendly. We devised a signage system using colors, to orient and direct visitors, and used maps that contained icons for internal points of interest.
This project won a Clap Platinum 2015 (ibero-american design award).
