Started in 2004 by Teresa Gratkowski with the purpose to fill a niche in the area of women's swim cover-ups. At that time, the selection of retail offerings were kaftans, overshirts and sarongs. There was nothing that was flattering, that also accommodated a woman's curves, and made her look sexy and feminine at the same time, while giving coverage options. Amongst style development, she also conducted market research by asking women of all ages, shapes and sizes what they wanted in a cover-up. This resulted in the development of a range of three different styles of cover-ups - with each style having the versatility to be worn many different ways to suit the wearer and the situation. From figure hugging and sexy, to flowing and feminine with arm coverage. Business started changing direction, when more and more women were wearing their cover-ups to dressy and formal occasions, and not solely over swimwear as intended.

A major influence in her company's new direction was the observation that over the decades, she has seen many fashion trends come and go, and used to accumulate clothes just because they were 'in fashion', even though they did not necessarily suit her. This resulted in regular wardrobe clear-outs containing many garments with swing tickets attached, that had never been worn! Hence, her focus now is on the creation of unique and versatile 'cover-up' garments that transcend fashion and enrich the life of women by helping them to stand out, look beautiful and feel confident in any situation.
