The 'My Get Me There' is a Mobile App that lets you buy selected travelcards for use on Greater Manchester’s Metrolink tram system. It means that you can buy and select Metrolink travelcards anytime, anywhere, without having to queue to get one from a ticket machine. You can buy one-day, weekend, seven-day or monthly Metrolink travelcards and download them straight to your smart phone. All you need to do is display the travelcard on your phone if asked to do so by a member of Metrolink staff. The My Get Me There App lets you store your payment details securely, so there’s no need to enter them every time you buy a travelcard. And if you make the same journey regularly, the application will store all your previous travelcards so you can easily find the one you want to purchase again.

The Brief_

Having been a user of the My Get Me There App, I took it upon myself to do a complete redesign of the ui/ux to improve on the app and all the elements within it. On researching it and experiencing it for myself, I've discovered from previous reviews/feedback etc. that the general consensus is it's a welcomed, essential, time-saving product mainly for commuters in their daily lives. The majority including me are unhappy and frustrated with many aspects, for example navigational issues. It's confusing, sluggish, awkward and cluttered, it needed improving and updating, so I could see there was potential and an opportunity for a complete redesign.
