ABOUT
The Mama Africa Festival is more than an event — it’s a powerful tribute to African culture in the heart of Lisbon. Through vibrant visuals, expressive storytelling and a multidisciplinary approach, this campaign celebrates Africa's influence on music, fashion, cinema, dance, and gastronomy. Organized by Associação Bokamundo, the festival takes place at iconic Lisbon venues like Cinema São Jorge and Parque Mayer, inviting people of all backgrounds to immerse themselves in a celebration of roots, rhythm, and resilience.
Creative Direction & Concept: Our creative concept aimed to blend the richness of African tradition with a bold, contemporary aesthetic. The visuals are full of saturated colors, geometric patterns, urban textures, and joyful energy — echoing the festival’s identity as both cultural and modern. We used generative AI tools to create key visuals, capturing scenes of African fashion, chefs, dancers, musicians and cinematic icons — all set against the Lisbon backdrop. Typography, patterns, and composition were crafted to bring unity across all formats.
