About me
I worked in the scripts department of Dream Team, a 60 minute serial drama aimed at a youth market, for two years. During my time there I developed an appreciation and understanding for well told stories, and how to implement successful TV writing. As a scriptwriter I managed projects on my own, conceptualising and writing episodes from home. I achieved two sole credits as Writer, for episodes 4 and 10 (the Christmas special). I worked on three other episodes, developing the storylines and writing full drafts, to assist other writers and alleviate the busy schedule.
As a 25 year-old Londoner I feel in touch with the urban youth market and realise certain demographics are underrepresented in the media. I am currently taking a youth workshop on documentary making, in which I am filming a group of 10-14 year-olds from Tottenham, with the aim of making a documentary that utilises their skills and tells their stories.
At Dream Team, I helped developed a patch on Football Manager 2006 which allowed users to play as Harchester United. This was an enjoyable experience as I am an avid gamer, and like to stay abreast of the gaming market.
I have directed and co-produced a short film, 50 First Cousins, which gave me invaluable experience in the machinations and intricacies of creating visual media. I worked extensively on the script, turning the final draft into a shooting script. I am more than happy to supply dvd's and scripts for my Dream Team episodes and short film.
