About me

For the past 15 years, Paul (or paulo) has been turning great ideas into even better results. He also likes clichés.

After cutting his teeth (he likes metaphors too) at Due North Communications working on clients like Goodyear and StarChoice, Paul took a golden opportunity at JWT Toronto, spending 7 years on the team that helped build one of Canada's most iconic brands in Tim Hortons. That included spending the day shooting with Sidney Crosby *before* he won his gold medal - so Paul is also very good luck. When he wasn't doing everything from in-store POS to television on Tim's, the rest of his time at JWT was spent working on Nestlé, Kraft, The Canadian Cancer Society, Nike and Teletoon.

In 2008 Paul traded in his coffee card for something a little more playful when he worked on Durex at Youthgraphy, an upstart agency that targeted the much sought-after younger demographic. In addition to mentoring an amazing team of junior art directors and writers, together they launched viral and digital campaigns for Microsoft and Mattel, as well as working with the real heroes of the world, the nurses at the OLTCA. That was better than winning any award.

After Paul spent the following year freelancing on such clients like KISS FM and Wisers, he landed at Riddoch Communications - a small shop with big agency thinking. His extensive experience on Tim's led him to work on Second Cup, as well as other food and beverage brands like Lonestar Texas Grill and Maple Lodge Farms. The boy can eat. But he also helped lead the team responsible for such brands as Rogers, PC Financial and Living Lighting.

In 2012, freelance called again, working on Air Miles, Colgate, OLG Slots and Ontario Tourism, among others. He then ended 2013 after a brief stint at Ariad.

Not only is Paul a creative problem solver in all mediums like print, digital, TV and social media - but the boy can draw - which came from his love of comics. Because growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.
