Hello my name is Kirsty Gibson I'm currently looking for work in the industry. I am emailing you today because I've seen your job application on Indeed and would like too apply. I am very interested in this job role as Production Assistant. I am currently writing a feature film at the minute with a colleague from the last feature I was working on which is about car racing but also has a very warm hearted narrative. This will not be in production for a few years yet which is why I am looking for something on a more permanent bases.
I've been working on a film called Scott and Sid which was filmed round York/Leeds area. I was a production assistant in the office working along side the office and production manager. I took care of sourcing extras, booking hotels for crew members, I kept on top of emails and contacted relevant people for any last minute essentials needed on set as well as various other tasks. I also took care of any relevant paperwork needing completing. I'm currently still waiting on my credits too be put on IMDb
In University I specialised in TV Studio/Multicam projects and my final piece was a feature film which was purely studio based. We filmed a couple of scenes live too. More recently I was working on Emmerdale in Yorkshire in the studio and in the village which helped me gain experience in a real TV programme environment. I loved working under pressure and can handle the long working hours.
In my spare time I shoot weddings and events on weekends. I can show you some examples if you need too see some. I have an attention too detail and would class myself as been a creative person which is why I think I am the perfect candidate to fill your position. I have my own transport and a clean licence. If successful I could pretty much start within a week or less hopefully as I do not have to give much notice for my other job.
