Dear Sir/Madam,
Please find attached my CV for consideration for the post of Junior Designer/Digital Designer at BML. In support of my application I wish to draw your attention to my personal qualities, skills and experience, which I believe make me an ideal candidate for this role.
For the last seven years I have been running my freelance design practice, part-time from home, dividing my time between being a busy mum and designer. No easy task! However, it's one that has enabled me to develop high levels of organisational skill as well as the ability to work under my own initiative. Working for myself has enabled me to develop a systematic and professional approach to my work and a confidence in my abilities to deliver exceptional levels of service. I believe this clearly evidences my ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritise, multi-task and manage workloads under pressure, in order to meet the needs of the business and clients. My CV details all of my qualifications, skills and experience, so I would draw your attention to that for those, rather than repeat them here. I would just add that I have a good eye for detail and typography, together with experience of preparing artwork for a range of both print and web applications, as demonstrated by my portfolio. I have a huge hunger for developing innovative and intelligent design, with an eagerness to learn and develop to match. I would leap at the chance to be part of a highly creative team and learn from their experience. I'm very enthusiastic and professional in my approach, and strongly believe that having fun should be a given when you're passionate about what you do. I'm very flexible when required to meet business objectives and can be a team-player and independently when required. I would love to secure a role within an integrated creative agency, with the associated benefits associated with that; working as part of a team and towards shared goals, career progression and opportunities to develop my skills. Ideally I'd love to be working within a talented team in an inspiring and vibrant creative agency, where I can grow with the studio and become a valued team-member.
