ABOUT

The award-winning Disease Activity Lightbulb campaign visualises the neurone deterioration of MS sufferers. To accompany a series of stills, we created a cinematic animated journey through a lightbulb forest, and edited it with motion graphic sequences. We needed to create a large atmospheric but vacant environment, where countless flickering bulbs are seen swinging. The hero bulb would burn out and the neurone fracture and crumble. Because there were a lot of heavy refractions in the scene we rendered much of it at lower resolutions, and compensated by overlaying higher resolution non-refractive renders.
