To whom it may concern,
My name is Sofia Cianciulli, I am 22 years old and I would like to apply for a position in the creative industry.
I am currently enrolled on the fourth year at the University of the Arts in London, and will receive my BA Fashion Media degree next spring. While having a comprehensive Communications background, my emphasis is on Graphic Design and Promotion. I feel that the privilege of working for your company will give me that further exposure I need to advance my career, as my degree places in similar areas operated by your firm. My employment will be, hopefully, worth to endure past my degree as the profession stated reflects my professional orientation and will enhance my skills. Nevertheless my commitment to work with you will not be disrupted in any ways from academic obligations as I am enrolled in a part time course, which ensures I have time and the motivation to give the necessary attention to both.
I have been engaging in challenging myself, pursuing the skills of a professional since I was a little girl, receiving her first camera for her 12th birthday. I believe my uniqueness to be my ability to tailor any notion in the most ineffable of ways, pulling in friends and acquaintances who later come to trust and value my ideas, bright and original as evident on my résumé attached. The originality of my ideas I believe to be inspired by my affinity for travelling, seeing, re-creating, documenting, and then reporting. I depict my self as a storyteller: never without my camera, I live to capture, augment and deliver; often plateful of ideas which is why I believe my uniqueness will meld well with the identity of your firm.
My last placement in 2014 was in the art department team of STQ where I have worked for almost a year. This last department that I was assigned to, has been the most inspiring for me (not to mention the longest engagement I've had with the company since I've started summer internships in 2009). While covering some promotional aspect of the company, I have earned the ultimate position of senior graphic designer, inspiring and supervising the team, which has been a great achievement for a person of my age.
Due to the proximity of this job, the projects and products I have been working on are being released next season (WA16) and to grant the company's privacy I am not allowed to update my portfolio yet. However, many other interesting designs, relevant to my academic path and other project works, are included and entirely realised by myself.
I would be delighted to have a possibility to further discuss in person about my life experiences and about my strong desire to work with you. I am available to work full or part-time, starting in late September, flexible on dates and salary. I am eligible to work in the UK and in possess of a NI number.
