About me

I am looking for a job as an Account Executive, preferably in PR however I would consider roles within advertising also.

I graduate from Napier University in July 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Communication, Advertising and Public Relations. Within my course I have studied PR, advertising, corporate and Organisational communication as well as Communication Planning and Implementation. I have also covered areas of IT, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Photoshop. Other modules include Marketing, Advanced Presentation, Media Law, Communication Theory, Visual Communication 1 and Accredited Work Based Learning (ABWL).

With regards to ABWL I have carried out 2 placements, one at Benchmark Pr in which I worked alongside the Business Director on a variety of consumer and corporate clients and the other at Football Aid which I worked within the in-house marketing department.

Throughout my placements I improved my creative writings skills as well as my knowledge of account handling, media relations, media evaluation and the creation of media lists through the use of media disk.

Other experiences include pr experience at IAS Smarts with the pr department and organising an event for terminally ill children called The Fun Day Out in which my role included sourcing sponsors, children's entertainment and creating awareness of the event to Scottish Journalists.
