About me

Hi there.

I'm Laura and I'm a little bit obsessed with fashion. (Check out my Pinterest and you'll see just how obsessed I am.) But being broke and loving clothes don't really mesh. So being paid to write about fashion is pretty much The Dream.

I don't have a conventional writing background. I've never had the title 'copywriter'. I worked as project manager at a writing consultancy. My days at The Writer were split between project managing, chatting to some senior bods about our brand, and writing lots of stuff. I'd write about how awesome the company was in order to bring in new business and keep our original clients wanting more. From a meaty business proposal to a witty tweet about a wordy trend. Anything to get us noticed.

Before getting a real job I interned at some of the country's biggest publishing houses. And before that I read English Language and Literature at Uni. So you can see that taking the plunge to in to the world of copywriting was bound to happen eventually.
