steve nicol

i have been in the creative industry for 25 years and retouching electronically for 19. Before computer retouching i was a dark room photo-comper and conventional retoucher. I first learned digital retouching on the kodak premier and photoshop 2 in 1990 and then moved onto barco and now just use photoshop. i have worked for 5 companies during this time and worked on many blue chip accounts for various advertising agencies. i liase with clients and photographers on a regular basis and have been on press passes at the printer's to see my work printed on behalf of the clients. I am currently the senior retoucher at Allan Burrows ltd. I am ultimately responsible for all retouching and colour management which goes through the company. I have also gained some knowledge of CGI and especially been involved in the integration of CGI renders into the retouching workflow to produce highly finished photo-realistic images.

i'm looking to further my career in the creative industry.
