Hello,
I'm writing in response to your urgent search for a Brand Video Editor.
Having studied and graduated with a degree in 'Motion Picture Medium' in 2008, the past six years I have created self-produced, creative, online videos ranging from short narratives and educational training videos to brand promo videos and live event coverage. I have a natural head for software and technology with familiarity to a broad range of creative tools from Adobe and beyond from colour correction and info-graphics through to video editing and web design. Software I am unfamiliar with, I can learn quickly and frequently do. Having majored in video editing and cinematography, I have shot with a huge range of cameras from 16mm Arri's to DSLR's, Sony EX1's and the Red and have the training to cut it into professional looking content with a high production value. To say that I am proficient at pushing out creative, consumer oriented digital content would be an understatement. I breathe it.
What sets me apart from the crowd would not only be my skills behind the edit suite and camera and lighting equipment, but also my talent in finding original, creative ideas to unusual problems. I like to find new ways of doing things and using video to support marketing and brand engagement is something I am very interested in. I frequently direct and produce my own content and have sat in on meetings with clients to assist coming up with creative ways to engage the consumer on more interesting levels.
I am hard working and friendly, taking criticism and direction well. That being said, I also have the experience leading small teams on media projects and would love to grow more in a leadership role. I am always looking to improve and better myself and I am seeking a position with potential for personal growth in a team of individuals that are passionate and looking to grow with me. I am also incredibly organized and efficient.
