Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Megan Pates and I am writing to apply for the role of Graduate Creative Assistant at Nakama for which you are advertising.

Having graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a First Class Honours degree in Photography and having worked within two E-commerce studios and offices and a photographic studio since graduating, I am eager to address my long-term career aspirations of working within Creative Production.

I am currently working for a luxury denim fashion company, MiH Jeans, as their Creative Production Intern. Taking on a very visual role, I am responsible for photographing imagery for their Instagram as well as photographing models for castings and assisting with photographic shoots, directly working alongside the creative production assistant. My role also includes conducting research and planning of photographic shoots, handling samples ensuring all are labeled and logged correctly, cropping, resizing and prepping imagery ready for web upload, sourcing props within budgets and planning deliveries and returns. I also assist the graphic department with retouching and sourcing imagery. In addition to this I have excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and the entire Microsoft Office Suite and a good knowledge of programs such as Capture One.

From the job description, I feel I would be an excellent candidate for the position, able to handle multiple projects with deadlines, working well under pressure, with the ability to work proactively and use my own initiative. I have excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi task and thrive in a fast paced environment.

I am eager to continue to make the transition into the world of Creative Production that I have been working towards for the last four years via my University degree, various photographic studio and e commerce studios and the last three months spent interning within Creative Production. I believe I could both learn much from and be a creative asset to your team.

As you will see from my attached CV, I am a committed and organised person. Creative and open minded, I work well both alone and as a team.
