About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please consider me an applicant for your graphic design position. I was excited to learn of your opening on Indeed, as your position fits my background, talents and career goals. I would consider it an absolute privilege to work as a member of your design team.

I graduated from the Commercial Arts Training College (CATC) graphic design program on the Gold Coast in 2012 and went on to work as a designer as a part of a 3 month internship program in New York City at Pencils of Promise. When I returned home to the Gold Coast in Australia I was employed by Copirite Print Design & Web Agency, where I then worked for a total of 2 years. Having over 2 years industry experience I have gained valuable experience in design, advertising and marketing material, including brochures, logos, posters, advertisements, product packaging, magazine layouts, web pages and booklets. I have advanced knowledge of the whole Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Indesign & Illustrator. Having been apart of projects all the way through the design process from concept to print, I have gained working knowledge of preflighting files, prepress and the offset printing process.

I take great pride in the design work I create and always strive to deliver an effective, focused, and on-target design that fits the clients needs and goals. I am a creative, reliable, hard-working designer who can work well individually or in a collaborative team environment. I work well with clients and consider myself a strong communicator, presenter and listener. My career goals are to continue to learn and grow as a graphic designer in the magazine industry while utilising my creativity, knowledge, education and people skills to benefit my employer.
