More than 4.9 million people in the UK suffer from diabetes, a chronic health condition that remains widely misunderstood despite its prevalence. But thanks in part to the research, campaigning and advice offered by charitable foundation Diabetes UK, those affected are increasingly able to understand, cope and thrive while living with the condition today.

We composed the music for the charity’s latest campaign, directed by Chris Fowles for Hoi Polloi. After establishing an emotional foundation using gentle piano chords, staccato strings anticipate the uplifting crescendo at the climax — the moving sonic journey a testament to the hope that Diabetes UK provides through its valuable work and support.
