About me
My skills are a great match for this role as I am a highly ambitious and creative all-rounder. I have a solid technical understanding of all aspects of production, from development to production and post-production.
In my previous role as video production and content executive for the UK's largest outdoor retailer, Mountain Warehouse, I was in charge of all audio and visual output. I was able to successfully implement a product video strategy across web which increased conversion rates by an average of 112%. In this role I was able to demonstrate excellent organisation and time management skills as I was solely responsible for planning video shoots, from hiring actors and equipment to scouting locations, budgeting, storyboarding and planning shot lists. There were often multiple shoots I needed to schedule at conflicting times which tested my ability to plan, adapt and remain calm under pressure. Subsequently I have come to thrive off of tight deadlines and a busy schedule as this so often goes hand in hand with broadcasting.
Since recently leaving Mountain Warehouse I have been producing and directing a short documentary about the underrepresentation of British-Asians in top-flight football. In order to finance this stimulating project I was working as a runner for a factual TV company on a 3-month fix term contract as well as a freelance sports photographer. Now that this contract has come to an end at the end, I am eager to begin producing for the corporate sector again, the field I am most experienced in and passionate about.
