About me

I am a creative copywriter with a wealth of experience in content marketing and the eCommerce industry.

What with a Masters in Interactive Journalism and a background in online retail, I believe that I am more than capable to thrive in a role like this. Not only do I obtain strong copywriting skills, but I am also able to manage an eCommerce team to improve onsite functionality and to ensure that all copy remains relevant and 'on brand' across all channels.

My latest role was acting as an Online Product Coordinator for Peacocks, where I was solely responsible for managing Peacocks' intake and making sure products are optimised and put online. This involved overseeing the whole process, which I invented myself through the means of Excel to ensure products are put online in a timely manner. Duties also included liaising and collaborating with over ten Buying departments and the Photography Studio to ensure that all products are shot and the necessary product information is given to be able to write compelling descriptions. Not only was I responsible for Peacocks' online intake and making sure that all content is written for SEO in the CMS, but I also worked closely with the marketing team to improve site navigation, product sales and promotions. This also includes tracking online sales through CMS systems as well as Google Analytics to help improve site and product performance. As well as managing the online intake, I took authority of the Peacocks' blog, due to my experience in blog writing and my advanced knowledge in using Wordpress.

My previous roles have also seen me rebrand online retailers' websites and take ownership of all web content and marketing. This involved creating a content calendar for the blog and managing a team of content writers, before proofreading all copy, to ensure that all content is written in a similar style and tone and that all web banners, static pages and newsletters are branded appropriately with our customer in mind. Through conducting a competitor analysis and writing content that was designed for our customers, during this period I was able to successfully grew all social media followers from zero to over thousands within a couple of months, as well as build strong blogger relationships, which led to an advertorial in a national magazine. I was also solely responsible for optimising the site and by liaising with SEO agencies and implementing their recommendations to ensure that the site was fully optimised. Consequently, this moved our position in Google from the third page to rank in the top ten on the first page.

I would love to discuss my experience with you further.

Many thanks,

Abigail
