"To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing in response to the freelance copywriter position advertised by your company. I have previously worked for a number of publications. While studying at Cardiff University, I regularly wrote for Ghair Rhydd and Quench magazines, creating reviews and articles for the film, books, culture, and fashion sections. Since graduating from the university, I have completed internships at Total Students magazine and the-agenda and DrWhoWorldwide. These positions have given me excellent research, analytic, and writing skills.

While serving as president of the university's Creative Writing Society, I not only planned and ran the society's weekly meetings, but also offered an in-house editorial and proof-reading service for members, collated and edited an anthology of members' work, and organised and ran a series of open mic nights.

I have recently undertaken an internship at JON magazine. The role involves managing the magazine's online content, including writing and uploading social media updates, researching and writing articles for the magazine's website, and communicating with readers and collaborators.

I am currently looking for a more challenging and hands-on position which will allow me to develop both my writing and editorial skills in an office environment.
