About me
I am a hard working, organised and eager to learn individual looking for a new challenge as a retoucher for a creative company. I currently work as a Production Assistant at a high end Family Photography studio where every day is different and being organised is essential. Part of my job is to work on the retouching of our Photoshoots to ensure the client receives the very best end product. This includes simple colour correcting to cropping, skin retouching, tidying of images (removing clutter, distractions etc) as well as more complicated retouching such as head swaps, scene replacement and building images from several photos. I learn something new everyday as the retouching requests from clients gets more complicated!
I work very well in a team and under pressure. An example of this is our same day viewings, where clients are waiting to view their photos after a photoshoot, and therefore efficient, fast-paced retouching is desired. This is usually worked on by myself and the senior retoucher as we work together to put together an amazing selection of images. I also sometimes have to make a photoshoot better, for example if there aren't as many photographs in the series, I work on creating alternative 'B' versions to show the versatility of the images. This can be as simple as a new crop or scene replacement.
I've gained significant experience and confidence in retouching techniques and desire a new challenge in retouching to continue to grow and build as a creative individual.
I'm also a photographer myself, regularly photographing concerts, weddings, fashion etc in my own time. I also sometimes photograph events for Imagethirst when needed, and like to see myself as the all-rounder for the company.
I'm also very down to earth, love to meet new people and see the positive in every situation. Therefore I would love to have the opportunity to work for you.
Kindest regards,
Laura Harvey
