About me

I wish to apply to your Creative Artworker role. I come from an artistic background and graduated with a BA Hons in Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors last year from Bath Spa University. The skills I learnt during my degree has given me the ability to design and manage either a live or a self-created brief. I am an organised person who pays attention to detail when working on a project.

I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Social Media - Facebook and Twitter. I have my own website via Wordpress which demonstrates these abilities.

I like to work in a methodical manner in order to achieve a timely and well executed design or practice. My work involves planning my own time management and my previous experience has given me the transferable skills to work in a wide range of sectors including print design, publishing, marketing and furnishings.

Undertaking my degree has enabled me to become a fast learner and develop the skills for varying scenarios and clientele.

I am currently working as a Visual Merchandiser / Stylist at Marks & Spencer. This role has developed my understanding of brand concept. It is important to understand who your customer is and what their requirements are. I demonstrate this by styling the mannequins according to the customer profile.

Experience in retail has taught me that communication is key to a successfully run business. As part of my previous role on the customer service desk it was important to be efficient in problem solving and deliver a polite telephone manor and great customer service to resolve the problem.

I am confident to work on my own or as part of a team.
