About me

I wish to apply for the Freelance 2D Character Animator role I saw advertised via Indeed. Please find my CV attached to this email and below is a link to my website:

Currently I am working on a short piece to be hopefully commissioned through the BBC, and earlier last year I was working on a series of short football animations called "Angry Albert" at Phaebus Media Group in Manchester (funded by the Premier League). The contracted role involved me designing the 2D character (i.e. Angry Albert, originally Grumpy Coach) and animating him in Flash along with any other design assets, whilst working alongside 2 other animators/designers who helped to create the 3D environments using 3DS Max, other 2D players using Anime Studio (initially using my design templates in Flash) and finally compositing within After Effects and Premiere. Within my role I needed to work closely with the other team members to overcome any obstacles and make informed design decisions, and from this I have solid understanding and experience in working within a professional pipeline.

Full episodes that we completed have now been posted on the site in the link below;

Throughout my career as a designer I have a passion for creating engaging visuals, colourful characters and animations to truly bring them to life. I am able to work to a predefined style with ease and clients have always been pleased with my work, along with my time management, focused attitude and desire to develop myself further.

I would like to note I am open to relocation should I be successful. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon.
