To Whom it may concern,

Please take some a few moments out of your valuable time to read my covering letter.

I have recently finished university with a degree of a 2:1 in Media with a specialist pathway of journalism from Nottingham Trent University and hope to put this to use in the field of marketing/PR and media communication.

The course covered many topics, and I was particularly drawn to Advertising, PR and Journalism. I am looking to develop specialist skills in this area and build a successful career.

I have put my course into practice in a variety of ways, most effectively as a market

Covering letter

miss renuka manjhuing sales advisor part time whilst being at university at Dilignetia Marketing where I learnt more about the marketing trade as well having a feel being out on field. Furthermore to this I have also done many other placements during my time at university where i was a social media administrator where i was managing the social updates through different social websites as well as sprout social, working making new adverts on 'Photoshop' and 'In design'. With my time management the updates were sent out on time as well as emails sent out to the companies who we worked for to see the latest offers they had.

On a day to day basis i would sometimes be asked to create pitches to be delivered to other companies who we wanted too take on board and have part of our time, majority of my team would also ask me to proof read material as well as writing out drafts for newsletters. I was also involved in direct marketing where i would be calling clients and offer new ways to help promote them socially as well as print based. Potentially alongside the managers i would sit in on meetings and conferences where they would be pitching the presentation that i had put together.

Another placement i had done was offering magazine spaces to companies who for them to have their advert feature in the magazine this would mean having to cold call on the telephone and deliver a pitch to them in why they should be in our magazine. To help me understand me about the ways of the media and put some knowledge into practise I used t shadow a journalist and editor at the local newspaper where i was then allowed to wrote some articles and features that would potential help towards the newspaper as well as helping edit.

I also hold a HND in media communication and production which I attained at Birmingham City University obtaining a Distinction.
