About me

I have over 10 years PR, Social Media and wider communications experience. I'm used to working in busy and at times stressful media environments which I feel I handle calmly and efficiently.

I often take the lead on projects including campaigns and fundraising, in particular I look after all PR for the Manchester Airports Group charity partner, Medcare and in my spare time manage the social media for one of my local animal rescues. I am capable of working solely on projects or as part of a team, often naturally taking the lead and as such have frequently been nominated in current and past roles to deputise for more senior staff in their absence.

In particular, I'm a keen social media user and upon joining the airport in March 2013 was entrusted within days of starting the role with taking the lead on the social media sites including growing the social following, something which has more than tripled since I took on the role.

I've used to researching, writing and issuing hundreds of press releases across a wide variety of topics including incidents, crisis aversion, company news, people news, airline and other partner agency news, safety messages, software developments, social media news/gimmicks, financial announcements and much more. I actively seek news from airlines and partner agencies to talk about and find that many people did not consider something a potential story but I pick up on that potential easily.
