About me

My name is Matt and I'm a London-based freelance writer with over 4 years' experience in the media industry. I have experience on both sides of the media spectrum from working as an on-camera news journalist for a national television network in Australia to copy writing for a London-based media company. Since my arrival in London, I have been freelancing for a number of organisations and I'm seeking a freelance role that will appreciate the humour embedded in my style of writing and my work ethic.

Before I moved into the freelance Rugby Editor position at Snack Media, I produced content for a large number of their clients ranging from the travel industry to the financial sector tailoring content to the client's needs. Before this position, I was a journalist with an American based tennis magazine. This role required me to travel domestically and internationally and provide live digital, radio and print coverage of tournaments. I was also required to conduct interviews with high-profile talents like Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Serena Williams while managing a number of Tennis View Magazines digital channels.

I believe I'd be an ideal candidate for this role because I'm a easy-going person with a penchant for using humour in a creative way. I'm hard working, well presented and enjoy a challenge. I understand the requirements of a freelance copywriter and as a seasoned professional, I also understand the need to work fast and efficient.
