ABOUT

As part of a Heritage Lottery Funded Project, National Museums Liverpool commissioned me to create a 2 x 1 metre banner illustrating the historical road in Merseyside. Highlighting its heritage with buildings, now derelict such as Galkoffs Butchers, through to the modern architecture bursting up all over the 800 year old city.
The illustration was created using a combination of studies: Sketches and photos from site visits, 3D models, Google Maps and Street View. All finished by hand with a 9px round brush in Adobe Photoshop with a limited colour palette.
It took bloody ages, but worth it!
