ABOUT

The Abandoned/Ghost station project captures those mysterious stations throughout London which are long closed and disused. Many remain fairly intact and some even feature time capsule-like qualities, such as WWII propaganda posters hanging from the platform walls.

The posters are positioned like faded 1930/1940's style designs, with the tradition London Underground-style tiled walls in the background. Rather than reproduce the well-known style of the Underground map, I designed my own retro-style railway map icons, and replaced the famous Underground logo with a ghost-shaped symbol to represent the 'ghost stations'.

Much research went in to this infographic, taking many sources from various books and websites to ensure the design was factually correct.
