ABOUT

Father's Day is the busiest sales period after Christmas for malt whisky. We needed to increase brand share of voice during this typically noisy period in the sector.

Recognising that many people’s family photos are being lost to history, and that Glenfiddich is a Family Run business, we created a social campaign offering to professionally restore them for our fans and give them something meaningful to celebrate Father's Day.

We launched the activity by restoring a photo of Glenfiddich's founding father, William Grant and his son Charles.

We then asked our fans to send us their photos, the best of which we brought back to life for Father's Day.

Creating a unique sharable moment that was genuinely personal and rewarding, resulting in an outpouring of goodwill for the brand.

We extended the activity beyond Father's Day with content telling the stories behind the photos. Naturally uplifting and heartwarming – they amplified the message of the importance of family.

All this resulted in Glenfiddich being mentioned more than twice as much as competitors during the Father's Day period - and genuinely treasured content for our fans.
