Dear Creative Tops,

I would love to apply for your position of surface pattern designer for your company. I am currently looking to change my career from teaching Fashion and Textiles into a role within the print industry. During my time as teaching I have demonstrated practical skills of teaching computer aided and traditional design methods, as well as improving my own communication skills, priortising workloads and working to a range of deadlines.

During my time at Coventry University whilst studying Fashion I specialised in textiles prints, I am particularly proud that a print of my final project was used to advertise the university fashion degree show. I have a real passion for designing prints and have experience of creating placement and repeat prints as part of my degree and work experience for designer Gavin Douglas. I really enjoy using a combination of illustrator and photoshop to create digital artwork, additionally I am able to create traditional artworks using a variety of media.
