About me

I am currently seeking a new challenge in the media industry. As you will see from my attached CV, I have extensive experience in the publishing and media industries, having successfully established my own publications company. Although the majority of my experience has been with football magazines and programmes, I made a successful transition into the lifestyle genre, when I helped to launch 'Icon Magazine' in September 2005. 'Icon' is an exclusive title, aimed at high-earning professionals and their families, and the publication has gone from strength to strength since its launch.

I am confident the skills I have developed and the standards I maintain would be invaluable to any large organisation. While overseeing as many as five magazine titles at once, I appreciate the need for thorough planning and tight scheduling. Having published my own titles I am experienced in all aspects of magazine production, and have a good an eye for innovative design and photography, to ensure each title I produce makes an impact. I am also used to managing a number of freelance contributors and photographers, to achieve a wide variety of styles.

I firmly believe I am able to adapt my skills to any magazine genre, or even to a PR role. Furthermore, I fully appreciate that in the media industry there is no such thing as 'out of hours' and I am more than happy to be called upon at unsociable times.
