Dear Sir/Madam,

Enclosed is my CV for application to your company. I have recently completed a BA (Hons) Journalism degree at London College of Communication. This course involved the production of skills in writing news stories, feature articles and sub-editing work as well as a vast area of teaching in media law and history. This education coupled with my interest in and profound enthusiasm to work as a copywriter could allow for a very productive work-life, should you choose to consider my application.

My experience in advertising along with my experience writing for the LCC News newspaper has put me in good stead for picking up new and related skills very quickly - as well as learning to write about any particular subject. Working for this newspaper has particularly increased my passion and flair for writing. My understanding as to what is required with regards to inter-personal skills and my ability to learn and pick up new skills quickly applies to my future career hopes of working as a copywriter. I absolutely relish a challenge.
