About me
James Rice is a Product Designer who focuses on combining the three areas of people, design and technology within products to create meaningful outcomes to projects. He has experience in working directly with target users to create the most beneficial and appropriate solutions to problems through ethnographic approaches as well as organising his own workshops. His process is one of iteration, by developing his research through sketching and modelling he refines his concepts to the most appropriate response before using these models to communicate ideas effectively to the people he is working with. He prototypes continuously throughout projects using electronics as well as physical materials including wood, card, plastic, foam and ceramics to produce refined models that are ready to be tested thoroughly by users while also being exhibited throughout Scotland.
James in graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in June with a Bsc with Honours in Product Design.
