ABOUT
Suspended forty meters above the ground, sixty individual letters hang in the vast atrium space at Senator House on the River Thames, London. Sitting on the ruins of Roman baths, which were historically used as a place to gather and connect, we used this collection of scattered letters to represent the echoes of past conversations, rising like steam from the surface of hot pools.
Timeless functions as a giant timepiece, providing an order amongst what at first appears as a visual chaos, linking the past to the present. The Roman-inspired typeface – designed specifically for the piece – is illuminated in a varied palette of colours, connecting the letters and spelling out the time every hour throughout the day.
