It's time to share with you the newest Nowadays' project. Directed and written by Phoebe Brooks, ‘Waiting List’ shines a light on the challenges trans people in the UK have when trying to access healthcare on the NHS.

Trans people face waiting lists that are 3 - 7 years long just to have an initial consultation for medication that cisgendered people can be directly prescribed by their GP. Tens of thousands of people are being denied the chance to live their lives, and too many trans people have committed suicide because they’ve been waiting so long for care.
‘Waiting List’ is a passion project from Nowadays that focuses on what it really feels like to be caught up in this system, capturing the human loss and injustice of this hidden crisis.

We are so grateful to be able to work on films like this that come from a labour of love from the people within the Nowadays studio.
