Having worked closely on BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend over the last few years, this super-sized Olympic year event - Hackney Weekend - was going to be the biggest yet, with 100,000 revellers attending over the two days.

The event showcased UK and international artists and up & coming talent, and ran alongside BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra's Academy; a series of masterclasses and workshops throughout June offering advice to young people from Hackney and East London.

We began the process by devising a logo lockup that could translate across the various platforms required both on & offline, in a series of formats - including the BBC blocks and station-specific logo assets.
