About me

I am currently working for Golley Slater in Cardiff as a senior artworker. In my present position I use InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Quickcut, VIO and Quark on a daily basis and have experience of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

I work as part of a close knit team to produce print ready artwork for a full range of material including brochures, leaflets, exhibition stand and press advertising for local and national newspapers. I also artwork outdoor material, such as 48 sheets, JCDecaux, Adshells, Bus banners, etc. My client list includes Mitsubishi, Army, COI, Euronics, Cornwall Tourist board, Clive Ranger and many others. I am also responsible for checking all work before it leaves the studio and goes to print, checking bleed, trap, image res etc. I specialise in photo retouching and illustration, but am also very proficient in page layout, using mainly InDesign for most print jobs, but still using Quark for some advertising. I am also a trained touch typist. I advise the production department on artworking time entering the studio from creative. I am second in command to the Studio Manager and in charge of six artworkers when he is absent. I am responsible for all in-house photography and advise on externally sourced photographers and photographs.
