ABOUT

University Arms is an iconic hotel in the heart of Cambridge which originally opened in 1834 and played host to significant historic events before standing dormant for nearly half a century until its recent revival by Melford Capital.

The hotel’s refurbishment was a collaboration between eclectic NY designer Martin Brudinski and the highly acclaimed architect John Simpson. MOF translated these concepts online showing the disruption between British heritage and a clash of cutting edge, unconventional features. This aesthetic brings with it impact and accessibility to its wide audience.

We conducted thorough research with Cambridge students, locals and tourists which allowed us to create a website that would meet the varying needs of its visitors and to develop personas that would be used across all marketing and operational initiatives.

MOF also created a content strategy plan which came to life with “The Journal”. This engaging element of the website allows visitors to see the latest cultural events and make the University Arms an inspiration hub for Cambridge.

The website has bought both the University Arms and Parkers Tavern to life online and reignited the love for this Cambridge institution.

The content strategy has lead to an increase in search engine optimisation which has in turn increased lead generation and conversion for both the hotel and restaurant.

Matter Of Form will continue working with Melford Capital on future initiatives such as creating an online concierge service and expanding on their content offering.
