ABOUT

What needed doing
The Bristol Aero Collection Trust enlisted our help to create an identity to support the fundraising stage and project development of the new £14m Bristol Aerospace Centre, a world-class museum with learning at its heart.
The plan for the Bristol Aerospace Centre is to showcase Filton’s aerospace heritage of over 8,000 aviation artefacts created since 1910, and to provide a permanent home for the Bristol built Concorde 216, the finest of the British fleet, whilst celebrating the region’s innovation, design and engineering and is due to open in Spring 2017.

How we went about it
The design is based around ‘on paper’ (Concorde started as a scribble on a page) and celebrates the first seeds of an idea, the simplicity of thought, and personal effort behind every engineering feat. And above all, the belief that anyone can be part of the story. This simple, iconic marque embodies the notion of ideas taking off and the colourways represent the museum’s transatlantic nature. This is also illustrated in the strapline ‘Where imagination takes flight’.
