About me

I am a proactive self-starter and team player. I am currently involved with various media based activities and marketing roles, and looking to progress in the creative industry.

Skills

Oral and Written Communication: Employment as a university caller and marketing assistant has made me proficient in public speaking. Furthermore my English degree has provided me with valuable writing and analytical skills., Languages: I have recently returned from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou (China) where I took part in an intensive Mandarin programme. I have also had the opportunity to teach underprivileged children Maths and English in Kenya, Mexico and Thailand., Numerical and Analytical: Technical Theatre modules have reinforced my mathematical abilities as I had to design and construct large scale sets. My Marketing studies have boosted my competence in performing calculations., Teamwork: I understand the importance of collaborative teamwork through my interest in sport. I play Hockey and Netball and have gained my Country Colours in them, as well as the Loughborough Colour Award in dance.

ITV: Runner-Working on Emmerdale’s 40th live episode as well as The Big Questions, a current affair show, has enhanced my creative initiative and enthusiasm for the Media., Mirae Asset Investment Bank New York: Intern-Here I gained hands-on experience in trading and operations., Alignyo: Online networking site for Yogi’s: Intern-This placement enhanced my computer literacy competence in Excel, Word and Publisher., Loughborough Careers Centre: Marketing Assistant-This responsibility required a high level of commercial awareness and organisation in order to meet the needs of the employers, such as BSkyB, BUPA and P &G. Through this I wrote Television scripts and gained a basic understanding of FCP., Rock Challenge Representative: Researcher-Building and maintaining a member database developed my networking ability
