Objective

To gain entry-level media experience where creative initiative, ideas and a genuine enthusiasm would allow me to progress.

Skills

Communication, As a catering assistant on the Manchester Cruise Ship, I was able to communicate with a wide variety of staff ranging from engineers to deck hands., I have been a guitar teacher in my spare time and this requires the ability to communicate new information and, sometimes with younger students, I had to handle difficult situations with tact and sensitivity., While working at Clarks, I worked as part of a team in a busy store, sometimes under great pressure. Here flexibility and initiative were essential, I was responsible for co-ordinating interviews and qualitative analysis of interview transcripts. Our project was awarded 72%, Computing Skills: Knowledge of Mac and Windows., I currently own a Desktop Windows PC and Macbook Pro Laptop., I have a wealth of software experience and am comfortable using Word, Excel, Powerpoint, After Effects, Audition, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Logic, Pro Tools and many more.

Sector Experience

One month work experience as a Production Runner. Researched into music videos and local bands, then conducted interviews. Worked in the “office” doing clerical work and organizing meetings. Arranged delivery of packages and organized transport. Location and live studio experience as a runner and a soundman., For a live recording of our show “Music Matters” we were severely understaffed and I had to step in throughout the hour long session as cameraman, floor manager, vision mixer, sound engineer and presenter., For this module I was part of a team of 3 responsible for all aspects of a music video shoot. From storyboarding and scripting to video editing, we were left to use our own initiative to achieve our goals. I received 74% on this module and that is something I am very proud of.
