ABOUT
Rajasthan’s state bird, the Great Indian Bustard, or Godawan, is critically endangered. Godawan - The 100 Series is an ultra-limited edition drop of 100 bottles, with all proceeds helping to save the last 100 remaining birds from extinction.
Our designs are a tangible reminder of the extreme rarity of the Godawan. Every bottle is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, meticulously hand-etched with 100 unique illustrations of the last living Godawan birds feeding, walking and in flight, picked out in gold.
Highlighting how important. Every. Single. Godawan. Is.
Layered, FSC-certified labels with recycled content, evoke the exquisite craft of the Godawans’ homeland of Rajasthan. The Godawan wordmark, a contemporary interpretation of a traditional local typeface, blooms from a foil-blocked desert horizon line.
Watermarked on the label and stamped into the hand-dipped wax cap, a hand-drawn bird surrounded by the copy “Born and Nurtured in Rajasthan” is a seal of quality and symbol of conservation. Finally, each bottle’s bespoke case is hand-crafted from up-cycled whisky casks.
Sold through a high-profile auction, The 100 Series has raised the profile of the plight of the last 100 Godawan birds, and sales raised an additional ₹10 Million towards the conservation of the Godawan bird.
