Re: Application for Creative Artworker

With reference to your advertisement posted currently on creativepool.co.uk, I am writing to apply for the position of creative artwork.

I am a graduate with a degree of BA (Hons) illustration with animation from Manchester Metropolitan University and successfully achieved First Class Honours. I have gained valuable knowledge in graphics and illustration, such as booklets and posters' design, Web sites, bookbinding and model making. Also, I have gained an in-depth understanding in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The degree projects have given me an excellent understanding of pressurised environments, stimulating my ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.

I have long considered that graphics, illustration would be an ideal way in which to combine the design and creative skills that I acquired and have aimed to develop throughout and beyond my degree.

I am a creative, reliable, hard-working designer who always looking for innovative and fresh ideas, concerning subjects about which I am very passionate. During my work placement with Hallmark Cards in August 2012, I gained valuable insight into the greeting cards industry. My role was predominantly creating design on cards, giving me the opportunity to meet and work with a team of designers in a professional studio. Also, it gave me an excellent understanding of how to provide efficient support within a smooth running term. More specifically, I feel that I would thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment such as that of creative team. Working within such a challenging and energetic atmosphere, I believe that my personal creativity and efficiency would flourish. There, in my day to day brief in the placement, I prepared and completed artworks for packaging, illustration, characters, etc. I take great pride in the design work I create and ensure that all work effective and appropriate. I am able to demonstrate the highest levels of motivation to work well within team environment or individually to meet clients' needs.

In addition, I am also a sales associate which allowed me to have practical work experience in customer service. I believe my retail experience, as well as the communication and co-coordinating skills are important and useful for me to be involved in this position.
