About me

I have recently graduated from De Montfort University with a 2.1 in Product and Furniture Design (BaHons), and looking at a job role designing for retail.

I have great passion for retail and dedicated my third year at university learning more about the industry.

Sector Experience

I had a placement at Display By Design last summer which consisted of assisting Designers, contacting and ordering from suppliers as well as completing order forms, helping out with estimating for projects by filling out costing sheets on excel. I also created job sheets for the factory which involved using current 2D AutoCad drawings and producing 3D visuals, and filling out the manufacturing process for the parts. My project manger also allowed me to do a practise exercise of designing a counter top spinner for a brand, from concept through to costing and final visuals to a client. This was a great exercise of project management by keeping to deadlines and seeing what I was capable of creating in a short time frame.
