Herewith I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I am a 36 year old South African male, married with 2 children.

I am looking to relocate to the UK as soon as possible to be close to family who are residing there.

I am also eager to broaden my work experience and excited for new challenges and opportunities.

I strongly believe that I would be the correct fit for the position as I have a wealth of experience

and expertise to offer any prospective employer.

Summary of work experience:

I have 18 years working experience as a DTP/Finished Artist/Retoucher. I started out my career by working part-time at a Repro House while completing my studies. From apprentice, I progressed to qualified DTP Operator. I was then trained as a Scanner Operator and Colour Retoucher. After progressing to head up the retouching department, I moved up to the role of

Branch Manager for the company's Repro operation.

I then made a career move to an Advertising agency. I felt that with my knowledge I could benefit any Advertising Agency as I could provide a cost effective in-house Finished Art & Retouching solution. This has been my main focus at all the Agencies I have worked at, and one I have fulfilled with great success. All the DTP/Retouching Departments I have helped start up, have been very successful.

My passion is finding solutions where no-one else can. I pride myself in being able to interpret the Creative's idea and vision of what a finished piece of design must be, and being able to roll this out into different forms of print media without losing the essence or impact of the idea.

My defining skill is my wealth of knowledge of all printed media, and the ease with which I can transition from Retoucher to DTP to Print Production. I am fully conversant and able to fulfil any of these positions or an amalgam of them.

Having said all of the above with my great level of previous experience I believe I would be a great asset

to your company.
