About me

I have spent the past nine months working as the Fashion Editor/Marketing Executive at Shoparazzi. Unfortunately, as of mid-June 2012 the CEO and COO made a mutual decision to shut down the company permanently as a result of wanting to pursue other things with their professional careers. As I very much enjoyed my position at Shoparazzi I am now looking for a similar role within a creative, fun but also mentally stimulating and challenging company.

The years running up to landing my position at Shoparazzi I mostly spent in the customer service and hospitality industry; I have managed bars and nightclubs in the UK, Australia and Sweden, as well as worked at various receptions and casual administrational work. As a result I have gained extensive experiences in team management operations, advance skills working in extremely fast-phased environments, superior time management and multi-tasking skills. Additionally I also have a great understanding of working in event, PR, promotions and marketing oriented environments, as well as a sound understanding of the social and digital media landscape.

In addition to my position at Shoparazzi I occasionally work for an artist management company called Shoot the Pony Management, where some of my duties include assisting the management team in promotion of the artists, office and event administration and A&R. I also have work experience for the in-house marketing and promotions team at Proud Galleries, London. My duties at Proud included negotiating deals with promoters for the club nights, sourcing new talent, updating of online marketing content, input and analysing of database information, etc. This gave me an in-depth knowledge of marketing activities run by a large scale music venue and overall events based marketing experience.

I have a great personal interest in the creative industries, and aspire to develop a future successful career in marketing.

In addition to my professional skills I have gained from solid work experience over the past 10 years I also hold a Bachelor Degree in Marketing & Music & Media Management (2:2) undertaken at London Metropolitan University.

My friends and family would probably describe me as a very social and outgoing, genuinely hard working, and goal-oriented, entrepreneurial thinking individual.
